Greased Lightning produce a range of successful automotive products and promote them directly to consumers from their website and via the Ideal World Shopping Channel. Each product required its own distinctive label that would work well individually and as part of the overall Greased Lightning product range. The brand needed to be instantly recognised on television and online.

Our Approach

We began by realising that colour needed be an important
part of this packaging project in order to be able to quickly differentiate between products in similar bottles. Whilst the range needed to work well visually as a collective, it was also key that certain product groups would work well together and yet be distinctive enough so that they would not be confused with each other. A careful use of colour was implemented to achieve this. We then developed a distinctive style consisting of a curved window area to hold the descriptive image and used an arced approach closely mirroring the curved image area for each product name. Each label was then endorsed with the Greased Lightning logo and positioned in a prime location to the front of the label. Product bullet points were then written and applied along with full descriptive and usage text to the reverse.

The Results

The final result is a range of products that are easily
identifiable as coming from the Greased Lightning stable
and work well either individually or as a group in all media
including TV. The successful sales across the range of
these great products ensure that Greased Lightning
continue to be a major player on Ideal World TV.
